CTS 250K Tone Potentiometer – Linear – US

Price range: €7.90 to €10.90

High-end linear (tone) potentiometer CTS 250k audio for single-coil Fender-type pickups: Stratocaster, Telecaster, Jazzmaster, Jaguar…

The linear potentiometer is designed for use with the tone control on electric guitars and basses. It can also be used for volume control if a completely linear level progression is desired. CTS is the benchmark for potentiometers in electric guitar electronics. The rotation is smooth, the start and end of the travel are firm, there is no crackling, and the sound is faithfully reproduced. They are available in several heights to suit each electric guitar. The shorter versions (6.5mm) are suitable for pickguards up to 3mm thick or very thin tops. The standard-size 9.5mm potentiometers are ideal for all types of guitars with a top thickness of 4 to 7mm. Finally, the taller 19mm potentiometers are for Gibson Les Pauls since 1977.

With a value of 250K, this potentiometer will be the ideal companion for single coil Fender-style passive pickups of any brand: Seymour Duncan, Dimarzio, Lollar, Lindy Fralin, Hepcat, SP Custom, Tornade MS and Cecca of course!

The "no-load" version completely cuts the circuit's potentiometer when it's set to 10. It's a cost-effective alternative to the "Treble Bleed," although the result isn't quite the same. Cutting the circuit's tone reduces the impact on the sound, especially when lowering the guitar's volume. The sound becomes less dark.

Kill two birds with one stone and remember to order the electronic components for your guitar when you change your pickups !
