For every guitarist, sound is the object of constant research. Each one seeks their own, the ultimate sound… They also search for a specific style, a specific piece. They try to change, to progress, to explore the instrument to its fullest potential. Sometimes they find it for a while, then the desire to venture into new sonic territories takes hold again.
The microphone is the first electrical component in the chain of elements that produce sound. The final sound largely depends on the quality of its pickup and its character. The microphone, an instrument within an instrument, is fundamental to the pleasure of every note played.
Cecca Guitars was born from this passion for sound. Working on the pickup, a central element in the search for new sonic territories, is a natural fit for us. It's an object of innovation, in terms of both materials and design. The pickup, complex and subtle, allows us to indulge our obsession with sonic exploration, our perfectionism.
Our daily joy lies in this aesthetic pursuit, that of the craftsman combined with that of the artist. We want pickups that are like treasures, both in their appearance and in their ability to produce constantly renewed pleasure.
The workshop operates with one goal: to help guitarists find the sound that will stay with them for as long as possible. Because musicians are idealistic, insatiable, often dissatisfied, but always happy to make a discovery, nurturing the passion that thrills us, again and again, even after years of practice.

I handle every step of the manufacturing process for the electric guitar pickups I sell: design using Adobe Illustrator, laser cutting, 3D modeling, and printing. For tools I don't own, I utilize external resources from local shared workspaces: powerful lasers, 3D printers, large-format CNC milling machines when needed, and woodworking shop machinery. Nothing is outsourced; I control the entire manufacturing process from start to finish!

Every component of an electric guitar pickup influences the final sound, which is why I place so much importance on their nature and quality. Two pickups of identical design will sound extremely different if one has ebony coils and the other carbon fiber. Understanding the impact of different materials on the sound is essential for crafting high-quality custom pickups !

I work with traditional parts used in the manufacture of electric guitar pickups. I also work with the raw materials, and I can push customization and personalization to the extreme to offer products with no equivalent on the market. What you find in my range of custom pickups, you're guaranteed not to find anywhere else!
1
I make pickups of all types: Humbucker, P90, Filtertron, Telecaster, etc. I work for all styles of music and guitars! If you don't find what you're looking for in the catalog, contact me and I'll custom-make the pickup of your dreams.
2
A pickup is never truly dead, that's my motto! If it's no longer showing any signs of life, it's not necessarily beyond repair: after a complete stripping, your coil might come back to life. If not, rewinding it will revive it and guarantee you can reinstall your pickup on your guitar.
3
For rewinding, I adhere to the specific requirements of each pickup: wire type (Formvar, Plain Enamel, Poly), wire gauge (generally 42 to 45 AWG), and the number of turns to achieve the pickup's original resistance. Rewinding may be necessary for repairs, and it can also be used to improve the sound: a mediocre pickup can become excellent with a rewind.
4
It's possible to change or improve the tonal character of a pickup by rewinding it or changing the magnet. But a pickup, like other guitar components, is also about looks! We can modify the appearance of a pickup: add a nickel radiator cover, or an open cover with a wooden top, either exotic or local.
5
We offer pickups from top brands. They always come with an original warranty, and their functionality is guaranteed for 3 months. A good pickup, once installed, is a pickup that will last for years!
6
We don't just work on pickups ; we also customize guitars from top to bottom! We offer used guitars, improving their appearance and installing pickups from our catalog. When necessary, we modify the nut, tuners, and bridge to create an excellent quality instrument at a reasonable price.
I officially opened Cecca Guitars in 2019 after 30 years of playing and a career as a professional guitarist.
Having discovered the genre at the Printemps de Bourges festival in 1995 with the band Gazoline Kings, and graduated from the Music Academy International (formerly CMCN) in 1996, my journey has been rich with encounters and a wide variety of musical styles (funk, metal, experimental jazz, world music). After several years in other professional fields, my initial passion for the sound of the guitar resurfaced. This led to my first pickups and instrument customizations, and then to the creation of Cecca Guitars.
