Delta Roots – PAF Humbucker Alnico 3 pickup

The Alnico 3 magnet used in this set of PAF humbucker pickups is reserved for custom shop models from major guitar and electric guitar pickups brands. It's the magnet that will give your sound the most vintage character, when paired with a suitable rig. This "Lightwound" version, because it's slightly less wound than a traditional PAF pickup, adds more dynamics and treble to your sound while slightly reducing the output level. Combined with the Alnico 3, which boosts the low mids and scoops the high mids, you'll get a harmonically rich clean tone with body and a satisfyingly raucous crunch. While the output level is lower, you'll still have plenty of power to make your amp roar. This set is ideal for archtop, hollowbody, and semi-hollow guitars of all styles and will work very well on a Les Paul-style guitar (mahogany body with a maple top) to add a touch of refinement. The 49.2mm screw spacing is the same as on vintage Gibson guitars. This set will therefore fit perfectly on any Epiphone, Gibson, or other brand guitar equipped with a Tune-o-matic bridge (or TOM for short).
