Heritage Charlie 90 – Charlie Christian format P90 soapbar

This "Heritage Charlie" is inspired by the reissues of the legendary Charlie Christian guitars from the 70s, reinterpreted here in a P90 Soapbar format. The concept is as simple as it is ingenious: a P90 at heart, but equipped with a single rail instead of the traditional row of six screw poles.

The advantages of the rail are undeniable. By providing more inductance—and therefore more bass, low-mids, and overall power—it allows for a lighter winding. A smaller winding means more dynamics, better treble reproduction, and a more lively and direct response. The result? A pickup that, despite a relatively low DC resistance compared to a classic P90, delivers the power of a vintage P90, with the added bonus of more pronounced bass, generous headroom in clean tones, and ample gain. The attack is crisp, sharp, and decidedly twangy when played with conviction—a true single-coil character in a P90 Soapbar format.

Micro Neck — Alnico 3

With its longer winding and more powerful magnets, the bridge pickup delivers a full, dense, and purely organic sound. Highly dynamic, it can nevertheless handle significant levels of distortion without losing definition. It will take you into the realms of pure Rock, Stoner, Doom, or even Punk, with that raw energy and tight bass response that make all the difference.
