Oldman HSP90 – Humbucker sized P90 pickup - Alnico 2 & 3

The P90 pickup was born in 1946, but it wasn't until the early 2000s that the first humbucker versions appeared. This pickup, a descendant of the Charlie Christian designed before World War II, was fitted to the Kalamazoo brand's archtop guitars. The early versions of this single-coil pickup, both dynamic and punchy, were perfect for playing jazz thanks to their Alnico 2 or 3 magnets. The Alnico 3 for the neck pickup will give you bright, clean tones while maintaining a mellow feel. The bridge pickup, with a slightly larger winding and an Alnico 2 magnet, offers a bit more power. The overall tone is very vintage. These pickups can be fitted to Epiphone Riviera or Casino models in their Dogear version. Soapbars will equip your Les Paul, SG, or other models to give them a truly vintage character. While the clean tone will be round and bright, increasing the gain will make your amp crunch while maintaining remarkable dynamics. This old guy has energy to spare!
