Burst Origin launch – Jerry T. signature

Busrt Origin - Jerry T. signature - PAF 59 Alnico 3

It is with great pleasure that I announce the release of a new set of pickups humbuckerBurst Origin”. These are inspired by the sound of late 1950s Les Pauls. This is doubly exciting because it is the result of a new collaboration with a very talented artist: Jerry T. of Jerry T. and the Black Alligators.

Jerry and I have been working together for almost a year now. It was therefore only natural to suggest to Jérôme that he put his artist name on a microphone set that reflected his style. This is how the “Burst Origin” TM was born, inspired by the legendary “Burst” Les Paul Standards of 1958 and 1959 that shaped the sound of everything from 1960s blues to 1970s heavy metal, by way of classic rock and hard rock.

The sound is powerful, bright, dynamic, full of harmonics and terribly vintage.

Jerry T. signature

Jerry T. is the guitarist and lead singer of the Blues band “Jerry T. and the Black Alligators”, a Blues band that has been touring France since 2014. They already have 4 albums to their credit, including the excellent “Where is the meat” released in June 2021.

Jerry can play all types of blues (and more!) to perfection. If you don't know him yet, you can find the full interview Jerry gave me shortly before the release of his latest album. And above all, go listen to some excerpts on the Black Alligators.

In the meantime, here's a short video in which Jerry plays an Explorer plugged into an AC15, with the same settings as always. He plays with the volume to exploit the variations in tone that can be obtained with the "Burst Origin" settings.

A humbucker with a vintage look

The butyrate plastic coils have a semi-matte, semi-satin finish with imperfections that give them a unique look.
If you wish to protect the coils with covers, I offer a full range of traditional covers. Available in raw nickel/silver, nickel-plated, or gold-plated finishes, these covers are made in the USA based on 1950s PAF designs.
The aged or relic finishes give an even more vintage look. They allow you to install these pickups on guitars that have already seen some use.
