Spare parts for building electric guitar pickups encompass a wide range of products. These include coils, magnets, base plates, screws of all kinds, inserts, and more. We offer individual parts or kits. These kits allow you to build a complete pickup using vintage-accurate parts imported from the USA.
Magnets
Magnets are essential components for the operation of an electric guitar pickup. Without magnets, there's no sound. But to make good electric guitar pickups , you also need good magnets. We therefore offer a range of hand-selected, "Rough Cast" Alnico magnets, meaning "straight from the furnace.".
The reels
A very handy item for winding your pickups . Indeed, without coils, with few exceptions, it's difficult to keep your winding in place, or even to wind it at all. We offer a range of vintage-style PAF humbucker coils made of butyrate. They are vintage because their dimensions match those of the coils used for Gibson PAFs from the 1950s. They are also vintage because the plastic used, butyrate, is the same as that used for the original PAFs. Like many of the parts we offer, this high-quality coil is made in the USA.
Screws and inserts
The screws and inserts used in humbucker construction are of a very specific size and shape. The quality and types of steel used in their construction are precise and vary depending on the pickups type, whether vintage or modern. Numerous finishes are available, including nickel, gold, and relic. Here, we offer the best selection of humbucker screws and inserts in Europe, imported from the United States.
Turntables or baseplates
There are many types of baseplates, varying in material, shape, and dimensions. We've chosen to offer only the very best baseplates for vintage humbuckers. Our baseplates are made in the USA, exclusively from nickel/silver, the purest material in terms of sound. They are "vintage accurate" in that they perfectly match the dimensions of the baseplates used on original PAFs. They have long legs, are pre-drilled for a row of polepiece screws, and the spacing between the E and E pole pieces is 49.2mm.
Quality and origin
We guarantee the quality of the parts we supply. Most of these are manufactured in the USA, and we guarantee their origin. Therefore, we indicate "Imported from the USA" when this is the case. The parts are inspected and tested, if necessary (magnetization of the magnets, for example), before shipping.
