It was on Facebook that I discovered Le Hangar des Guitares a few years ago, when I was just launching the Cecca adventure. What immediately struck me, in the best possible way—the kind where it doesn't hurt!—was the positive and relaxed atmosphere that emanates from their videos and their interactions on social media. There's a perfect balance between technical expertise and refreshing humor, where laughter is always present and jokes flow naturally. "Ripping" is easy, as they say in the business, and humor is ready to spring up at any moment, creating a friendly atmosphere that feels like chatting with friends.

Emmanuel Ballandras, creator and emblematic figure of Hangar des Guitares, has been passionately running this YouTube channel for 15 years. A true music and guitar enthusiast, he launched this adventure with the sincere desire to share his opinions, reviews, and advice with other musicians to help them make informed choices and nurture their shared passion. As he himself has stated in several interviews, it all started with a desire to create useful content for the guitar community.
Today, Manu is often joined by Jefonyx, who also has his own YouTube channel. Jefonyx even made a video about Cecca without my knowledge – a lovely surprise he'd kept for me, the rascal! This obvious rapport between the two adds another dimension to the content, making the videos even more dynamic and entertaining.
For several years, Manu collaborated closely with Jean-Philippe, with whom he produced numerous equipment reviews that contributed to the channel's reputation. Together, they explored and analyzed a wide range of guitar equipment, sharing their impressions with honesty and precision.
Le Hangar des Guitares has gradually established itself as a leading voice in the French guitar media landscape. In May 2021, Manu was even invited to the "Musicien DIY" podcast by Guil's Records, where he shared his journey and his vision of the guitar world. In this interview, he notably discusses his passion for testing gear and his desire to help the DIY music community.
The channel offers extremely diverse content for all guitarists, regardless of their level or preferred style:
In May 2024, Le Hangar des Guitares published a Facebook post mentioning two Ibanez guitars equipped with "made in France" pickups manufactured by Cecca Guitars. The video was then being edited, with the promise that Anthony (the founder of Cecca) would soon be able to talk about his passionately crafted pickups .
More recently, in July 2024, Le Hangar posted a video on Instagram highlighting Cecca Guitars' " Custom Bucker " pickup, presenting it as a versatile solution for jazz, blues, pop, southern rock, rock and hard rock enthusiasts looking for an open and dynamic sound.
This spotlight on Cecca by Le Hangar des Guitares perfectly illustrates the spirit of the channel: supporting passionate craftsmen and quality French initiatives in the world of guitar.
Over the years, Le Hangar des Guitares has built a loyal and engaged community of guitarists and music enthusiasts. The videos regularly generate lively and constructive discussions, creating a genuine space for sharing their common passion for the six-string guitar.
The channel is present on multiple platforms: YouTube of course, but also Facebook, Instagram and more recently Threads, where Manu continues to share his passion and interact with his community.
